If I think about one keyboardplayer, one pianist and one great hammondplayer, I would say Kevin Moore from early Dream Theatre, Robert Wells that can make Boogie-Woogie of anything on a piano and Joost van den Broeck from Ayreon/Star One who’s awesome at the Hammond. If I think at bands, I would say Kamelot, Epica, Amaranthe, Circus of rock, anything with Jorn Lande and so on.
How did your interest in music start?
With a borrowed AC/DC tape in the middle of the 80’s. Headbangers ball on MTV and a lot of Maiden. I’ve always loved to create new songs at the piano, let the feelings get out of my fingers when I’m sad, angry, happy or in a party mood. I always listen to music, bands like Disturbed and Megadeath at the gym, Whitesnake at the piano or Ayreon when I need to rest.
Favorite track on the album?
Almost impossible to choose a favorite track, I love them all, but ”If only for a moment” has a special place in my heart. I also think that it has the most ”mainstream-potential” of them all, but all songs are worth listen to with good earphones. Just close your eyes and enter the world of Saraya, maybe you´ll hear something new?
